Sister Mary Bernard, RSM

~ Inducted 1987

Sister Mary Bernard served the community as a dedicated religious educator and Mercy missionary for over sixty years.&nbsp; She continued at St. Mary's Academy well into her eighties where she has been a teacher, Principle, and Head of the Guidance Department.&nbsp; She was also Principle and taught for many years at St. Xavier Academy and served two tours of duty at St. Catherine Academy in British Honduras.&nbsp; She became one of the nation's most dedicated proponents of the Boy Scout Explorer Program and founded The Community Classroom, a highly successful career education program in Rhode Island.
