Senator Nelson W. Aldrich
(1841-1915) ~ Inducted 1972Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, 1841-1915, was a native of Foster who conceived and organized the present financial system of the United States. Mr. Aldrich, recognized as one of the greatest authorities on finance, served for thirty years in the U.S. Senate.
