Nancy A. Potter

~ Inducted 1992

Ms. Nancy A. Potter was a Professor of English at URI for forty-two years, and was made Professor Emerita. She taught undergraduate and graduate courses in American and British literature, Poetry and Creative Writing, and directed 50 MA and PHD theses. She won Fulbright Senior Lecturer Grants in American Literature in Argentina, New Zealand, and Chile. She was a master of the short story and she has been widely published, and honored with the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
