(1911-) ~ Inducted 1982The late Walter Stone was superintendent of Rhode Island State Police. Serving as Chief in Providence, he was one of two men to serve as head of Rhode Island's two largest police forces. He also played football for the Providence Steamrollers, and was a boxer on the police team.
