Reverend Joseph L. Lennon, O.P., of Providence was a a member of the Dominican Friars (Order of Preachers) of the Eastern Province of St. Joseph and of the Dominican community at Providence College. He was a professor, Dean and Vice President for Community Affairs at Providence College and considered by many the priest most commonly associated with the college and its academic tradition. A learned educator, pioneering TV personality, distinguished author, noted humanitarian, Father Joseph Lennon was a lifelong Rhode Islander until his death in 2011.
