Gov. J. Joseph Garrahy

Governor J. Joseph Garrahy, 1930-2012, was&nbsp;a native of Narragansett, who served four terms as Governor of the state following a distinguished career in public service which began in 1962. One of Rhode Island's most popular leaders, Governor Garrahy returned to the private sector in 1985, serving as a highly successful business executive and well known visiting professor at Rhode Island College.
